Q-tip Art!

This turned out better than I thought! I prepped the canvases for my students in black – the class is only an hour and it has to be completely dry before you start. They took chalk pastels and did their outlines and then filled the areas with dots of paint with a Q-tip. Easy, fun project for all ages!

Little Boys and Superheroes

This painting was huuuge! It was for 2 brothers – Matthew and Ryan. Their mom wanted a toned down superhero theme which I thought was great. The rocket boots aren’t exactly toned down but I had to do it! What little boy wouldn’t think rocket boots were cool?! The boys came with their mom to pick it up and they stood beside the painting -I couldn’t believe how I got the scale so exact. It’s pretty much actual size – what a great keepsake for when they get bigger. Mom can say, ” In 2012, you guys were this exact size!”
